Evergreen Malay Songs
(A "Seribu Satu
Malam" Fairy Tale)
We drove to Alam Avenue, Shah Alam and parked
in front of the Latur building. Then entered Cik Bunga restaurant at Jalan
Serai Wangi. Then a mouth-watering aroma kept floating, coming
slowly from the kitchen. All of a sudden, the night was filled with evergreen
Malay songs and sentimental English songs by street musicians. We felt celebrated with the melodious of old
songs, that brought us back to the old noslagia. What a lovely night at Serai
Wangi, making egg roll shakes, special fried rice and spicy wet noodle so
delicious to eat. It seemed our dinner was accompanied by melodious songs and
the beautiful atmosphere all night along. Suddenly turned it into a
"seribu satu malam" fairy tale.
