Delicious To The Last Spoon

(What A moment To Remember)

Tonight we had  a surprise birthday at Matahari Restaurant, in Kuala Terengganu. So we might as well parked our cars in the premise of Giant Hypermarket. Just a few steps to the restaurant.  Since we had booked the table, so it took us a while to sit around the table. Then  dish was served:  siakap steamed in nyonya style, fried with manggo, prawn fried with butter, white tom yam soap and stir fried mix vegetables.  It was really delicious till to the last spoon. Its  satisfaction was beyond words. However we finally came to the highlight of the day. A birthday cake was brought to the table. After blowing out the candles, we sang a happy birthday song to Acik. So together we shared the moment of celebration. What a moment to remember then.

A Moment To Remember

(Different Flavours Make Different Appetites)

We  were on the way to the 638-metre Drawbridge. This Southeast Asia's first drawbridge  is a new icon for Terengganu. So might as well we had our breakfast  before we went to the art exhibation at the drawbridge tower. By then Basir Restaurant, at Jalan Kota Baharu, Lorong Punai,  offered  plenty of appetizers: mee sup, mee curry, laksa Penang, laksa Terengganu, mee soto and rojak ayam.  This restaurant  had been one of  Fais's favorites since his childhood. Even now It has become one of our kitchens, especially when we decide to have a change in taste.  Well, different flavours created different appetites actually. However the taste is  subjected to the mood of the day. Hopefully a  good mode would make our visit to the drawbridge tower  a moment to remember.

Worth Proving

(Should Give A Thumbs Up)

We stopped by the road side. Just across Warung Cik Ani Kerabu. Situated at Traffic Light Bukit Payung, Jalan Kuala Berang. Feeling tempted by the rumour was the reason we dropped by. Well, somehow or other we had to prove this Bukit Payung's  icon culinary. So popular that it went viral in media. However once  tasted, I acknowledged it as one of top rankings. No wonder it became the local interest. Then I might as well  jot it down on my favourite list. By then, of all nasi kerabu I had tasted so far, this one was the best. Of course I should give a thumbs up for the satisfaction. Anyway it was really worth proving after all. Of all these things,  it’s not the taste but the pleasure. That's the blessing of the senses actually.

Showered By Glittering Light

We were on the new bridge, crossing over Sungai Terengganu. What a beautiful highway. We were showered by glittering light along the way. However  tonight  we decided to have a night view at Masjid Kristal, which was a tourist icon then. Well, we were really amazed by the glimmering lights of Kristal domes and minarets. So were the lamps  seemingly  flickering the lights along the river estuary. Finaly we ended our night drive at Warung Kancil. Anyway we were quite satisfied with tonight dish. Mee basah, rojak and kepok likor were our dinner then.

 Finally we made a decision to have an evening tea by the sea side. This decision brought us to Laksa Sarang, Pantai Tok Jembal. Famous for its unique dish, laksa telor goreng bersarang. Actually the secret ingredients that made its taste different from others. That different taste gave life some interest then. By then I wondered, was it  really the truth? As shown by the words of wisdom on the door of the warung: "as long as you have food in your mouth you have solved all questions”.

Its been said that D’nis Patin Oriee had a good ranking in Dataran Suria, Puncak Alam. So, might as well we had to prove it ourselves.  Well, this idea brought us to a table number 9 then. Though it’s a bit late for lunch, we couldn’t help feeling an adrenaline rush. Just to satisfy our hunger. So it’s true to its popularity then. No wonder we wiped it clean. Wow, what a finger-licking traditional meal.

The appetite took us to Dapo Fateema, at Simpang Tok Ku, Jalan Sultan Mohamad, Kuala Terengganu.  However we were fortunate to have  a seat B3 under patio umbrella. Then with its words of wisdom: "Sabar Itu Indah", so we had to wait patiently. Somehow this morning really provided us comfort and relaxation to enjoy the Malaysian cuisine. Of course nasi minyak and green tea, which made this outlet a dining experience to remember

BBQ Invitation

(That Night Was Very Meaningful)

It's hard to turn down the BBQ invitation for grilled chicken.  As if the aroma of grilled chicken kept  tempting. Of course we could not ignore our brother-in-law invitation. After all, grilled chicken was  also listed in my favorite dish. So we arrived on time at PKR Batu Hampar. Just 1 kilometer from our home in Seri Teratai, our home sweet home. By then smoke from a homemade charcoal grill filled the night air. The mouth-watering aroma caught our appetite. Well, undoubtedly that night was very meaningful when it could  satisfy the appetite. After all, it's the taste what mattered most.

(Feeling A real Glow Of Satisfaction)

We entered the Seafood Foodcourt Pasar Besar, Jalan Haji Saman, Kota Kinabalu. Looking for  the right place to dine out. By then there were many eateries under one roof. So, might as well we let the eyes made the choice. Usually where many people eat, then the food was definitely delicious. Finally Seri Tiga Rasa Seafood Restaurant was the right choice for dinner.   Fortunately table number 10 was still empty.  Then without delay we ordered  three flavored fish, squash flour, shrimp butter, salted egg crab and salted fish. Actually I was not the kind of person who had  high taste. However, it did seem to challenge my dietary restrictions. Anyway the night witnessed  my last bite. By then I felt a real glow of satisfaction. There was no denying that it was a real blessing.
