It's hard to turn down the BBQ invitation for grilled chicken.  As if the aroma of grilled chicken kept  tempting. Of course we could not ignore our brother-in-law invitation. After all, grilled chicken was  also listed in my favorite dish. So we arrived on time at PKR Batu Hampar. Just 1 kilometer from our home in Seri Teratai, our home sweet home. By then smoke from a homemade charcoal grill filled the night air. The mouth-watering aroma caught our appetite. Well, undoubtedly that night was very meaningful when it could  satisfy the appetite. After all, it's the taste what mattered most.

(Feeling A real Glow Of Satisfaction)

We entered the Seafood Foodcourt Pasar Besar, Jalan Haji Saman, Kota Kinabalu. Looking for  the right place to dine out. By then there were many eateries under one roof. So, might as well we let the eyes made the choice. Usually where many people eat, then the food was definitely delicious. Finally Seri Tiga Rasa Seafood Restaurant was the right choice for dinner.   Fortunately table number 10 was still empty.  Then without delay we ordered  three flavored fish, squash flour, shrimp butter, salted egg crab and salted fish. Actually I was not the kind of person who had  high taste. However, it did seem to challenge my dietary restrictions. Anyway the night witnessed  my last bite. By then I felt a real glow of satisfaction. There was no denying that it was a real blessing.

Finally we drove our car to the point of interest, Pok Rosid Ikan Bakar Restaurant.  Located in Kg. Bukit Tunggal,  Kuala Terengganu. It has been speculated that Pok Rashid's grilled fish was the best around. So we might as well prove it ourselves. If it was not proven by sense of taste then it was just a narrative of nothingness. So after parking,  we found our way to the restaurant. Well, it’s the nose that smelled better than the tongue. So the aroma kept floating the entire restaurant as to stimulate our appetite. After a few minutes everything was on the table. By then we were ready to prove the dish. Then no word could interfere with our desire to finish the dish. Finally the last bite told everything. So  it's true to its popularity then.

We drove along Jalan  Kemuning.  Then parked our car at the backyard of Ilin Cendol House restaurant. Located at Jalan Kemuning, Batu 17, Kg. Cempedak, Kuang.  We found a table at the restaurant porch. However   at this early hour  only a few customers.  So we ordered cendol  jagung and  asam pedas kembong set. It’s said cendol is 100% homemade. Using 100% fresh pandan water and mixing with the flour of choice makes the pandanus fragrant, fresh and authentic. Of all the cendols, cendol  5 benua is the best,  as there are 5 flavors in one cup: pandan, strawberry, cuklat, manga and keladi. Giving a unique flavour, different from  other cendols in the market. Not to mention the vanilla ice cream toppings to taste.

 Evergreen Malay Songs

 (A "Seribu Satu Malam" Fairy Tale)

We drove to Alam Avenue, Shah Alam and parked in front of the Latur building. Then entered Cik Bunga restaurant at Jalan Serai Wangi.  Then  a mouth-watering aroma kept floating, coming slowly from the kitchen. All of a sudden, the night was filled with evergreen Malay songs and sentimental English songs by street musicians.  We felt celebrated with the melodious of old songs, that brought us back to the old noslagia. What a lovely night at Serai Wangi, making  egg roll shakes,  special fried rice and spicy wet noodle so delicious to eat. It seemed our dinner was accompanied by melodious songs and the beautiful atmosphere all night along. Suddenly turned it into a "seribu satu malam" fairy tale.

Case Of Early Satiety

(Romantic Drama “Winter Sonata”)

Without any hesitation, we entered Dubu Yo Urban Korean Delights restaurant at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya. Then ordered HG bulgogi chicken peach tea and spc toppoki alc green tea. Anyway I didn't mind the weird menu. I was really trying new flavours, the perfectly seasoned Korean classics. As long as we did not try we would not know the specialty. Yet all of a sudden, the Korean aroma seemed to float us into the nostalgic and romantic drama "Winter Sonata". However there's still leftovers. Surprisingly,  feeling full after eating very little. Mind you, It's not the case of early satiety. Maybe different tastes made different appetite. Sometimes more or less was eaten not because of hunger but because of appetite.

It’s late afternoon. So we decided to have Lunch at Warisan Melayu RZ Nasi Kukus. Located at Jalan Dataran Suria, Seksyen 15, Bandar Puncak Alam. Anyway it's already past the peak hour. So, only a few customers in the restaurant. Yet there was still food for the late customers. We then lined up at the self-service counter. A few minutes later the dish was served on the table. The aroma of fried chicken was really appetizing. It seemed that hunger awakened all the senses, thus stimulating our appetite. So everyone was "on your marks", ready for the first bite. Well, somehow it’s the first bite actually determined the next bites. Of course the last bite finally gave the satisfaction. That's all that mattered.

We entered the premise of Z K Al-Azmi Garden Restaurant on lot 3256-1A, at Jalan 1 / 48a, New Sentul Town, Market Sentul Section. Fortunately there was an empty hut, so we quickly sat in the hut 7A.  "Duduk bersila makan semeja", maintaining the characteristics of Malay culture.  Then we ordered set 1. Within minutes the dish came in a variety of choice. It was really mouth-watering. However it  rained suddenly, thus accompaning our dinner. The cold night breeze blew gently. With the sound of gentle raindrops on the roof, it created a harmonious atmosphere with a  melodious nightly rhythm. What  an appetizing dinner. Without even realizing it, we finished it to the last bite.

We stopped by the premise of C'wok Cafe Patin Tempoyak, in Kg. Raja Songsang, Temerluh. Patin fish became a special menu today. Well, the aroma of tempoyak was really mouthwatering. Indeed, it’s recognized that  tempoyak patin is a culinary icon of Temerluh. A popular appetizer for tempoyak fans. Of course it's one of my favourite since childhood, and not to mention "babotok", traditional cuisine of Bangkulu. 'Sedap giler". No wonder Temerluh is well known for its tempoyak patin curry. It’s said that the original recipe is passed down through the generations. So it has become a heritage dish. That the only traditional cuisine that continuously stand the test of time. No wonder it has become  a well known dish at any restaurant or cafe. Thus, it’s becoming  more viral in cyberspace. Of course, it stimulates the taste of virtual customers then.

(A Blessing In Disguise)

Finally we parked by the road side, just opposite Taman Klasik Rumbia Restaurant. Situated at Jalan Haji Jumani, Kg. Gicing Hulu, Sepang, Selangor. Popular with nasi lemak telor goyang for breakfast. Unfortunately nothing was left. In a bit frustration, however I had to accept whatever was available. Nothing gain if I were to get angry at something that didn't exist.  Might be we were a bit late. Instead we had another choice, so I ordered mee rebus special. Well, that's not a case of sour grapes because I didn't get it.  Anyway I had to accept that reality. To everything there was a reason. Sometimes there was a hidden blessing when the desire was not fulfilled. Might be it was a blessing in disguise.

Our dinner destination this time was at the Homst Chinese Muslim Cuisine restaurant. Located at Section 13 Bowling Road, Shah Alam. Next to Aeon Mall. It's said, the dish served was the best. Then  after parking, we went straight to the restaurant. We were  warmly welcomed  by the staff, so feeling treated as guests of honor then. Finally ordered soft shell crab, butter prawn, lemon chicken and three-flavour siakap. Then the eyes, nose and tongue make a compromise. The compromised  decision was of course enjoyable when it came to the last bite. At the end of the day, we really felt the real satisfaction. So then life is a matter of taste after all.
