(The Glimmering Light of Kristal domes)

We were on the new bridge, crossing over Sungai Terengganu. What a beautiful highway. We were showered by glittering light along the way. However  tonight  we decided to have a night view at Masjid Kristal, which was a tourist icon then. Well, we were really amazed by the glimmering light of Kristal domes and minarets. So were the lamps  seemingly  flickering the lights along the river estuary. Finaly we ended our night drive at Warung Kancil. Anyway we were quite satisfied with tonight dish. Mee basah, rojak and kepok likor were our dinner then.

 Finally we made a decision to have an evening tea by the sea side. This decision brought us to Laksa Sarang, Pantai Tok Jembal. Famous for its unique dish, laksa telor goreng bersarang. Actually the secret ingredients that made its taste different from others. That different taste gave life some interest then. By then I wondered, was it  really the truth? As shown by the words of wisdom on the door of the warung: "as long as you have food in your mouth you have solved all questions”.

Finally we dropped by at the slightly isolated Kajang Road, Pucung.  Yet the well known Café Beriani Gam Restaurant became a popular attraction to beriani rice lovers. It was said, this restaurant inherited the original recipe from Batu Pahat, Johor. Might be this was the secret of the herb mixture.  That's what they said "a diversity in one taste". Well, not even sitting down we were being greeted with the aroma of kambing kuzi beriani. It's really challenging our appetite. Wow, what a mouth-watering dish. After that day, it took a couple of weeks  to vanish from my dream.

Different Taste

(No Account For Taste)

It’s the taste that brought us to Wong Solo Restaurant at Jalan Plumbum, Seksyen 7, Shah Alam. Well known for its Indonesian cuisine, especially ayam penyek. However different people had different taste. So was I, but my choice was of course grilled chicken. Well, there's no accounting for taste actually. Anyway it’s the aroma and taste that had been the main attraction all along, making the restaurant  a full house at noon. By then it's really worth the expense.

Since we had never been to this place before,  so we might as well just let our eyes find our lunch venue. That’s what made us a sudden stop at D’Bayu Café, in Taman Prima Saujana, Kajang. Its catchword was so inviting, “LepakJap”. So, why not we just "lepak sekejap", after a few hours  of traveling in the car. Of course Faiz with his favourite typical menu, nasi goreng USA, (Not nasi goring Volgo). Well, then after finishing a plate of chicken rice, all I could say was "boleh tahan".

Its been said that D’nis Patin Oriee had a good ranking in Dataran Suria, Puncak Alam. So, might as well we had to prove it ourselves.  Well, this idea brought us to a table number 9 then. Though it’s a bit late for lunch, we couldn’t help feeling an adrenaline rush. Just to satisfy our hunger. So it’s true to its popularity then. No wonder we wiped it clean. Wow, what a finger-licking traditional meal.

"Sabar Itu Indah"

(A Dining Experience To Remember)

The appetite took us to Dapo Fateema, at Simpang Tok Ku, Jalan Sultan Mohamad, Kuala Terengganu.  However we were fortunate to have  a seat B3 under patio umbrella. Then with its words of wisdom: "Sabar Itu Indah", so we had to wait patiently. Somehow this morning really provided us comfort and relaxation to enjoy the Malaysian cuisine. Of course nasi minyak and green tea, which made this outlet a dining experience to remember
